The Weeknd Taps Summer Walker for New “Best Friends (Remix)”

The Weeknd has released a new remix of his Dawn FM track “Best Friends,” now featuring Summer Walker. The Canadian vocalist has been teasing the remix on his official social channels, and he’s also praised Walker’s contributions: He tweeted, “she fucking CRUSHED it,” and also wrote, “she carried.” Listen to the new remix below.

Several Dawn FM songs have gotten official remixes. “Out of Time” has been remixed by Kaytranada; Oneohtrix Point Never put his spin on the title track; Swedish House Mafia have updated “Sacrifice”; and Mike Dean remixed “Starry Eyes,” to name a few.

Dawn FM is the fifth studio album from the Weeknd and follows his 2020 album After Hours. In July, he shared a video for the Dawn FM song “How Do I Make You Love Me?” The clip followed visuals for “Sacrifice,” “Gasoline,” and “Out of Time.”
