Willie Nelson appeared on last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert ahead of his induction this weekend into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Nelson performed his 1964 song “I Never Cared for You” with a full band, which included his son Micah Nelson. Watch it happen below.

Nelson and Stephen Colbert have history dating back to The Colbert Report years. In Colbert’s 2008 Christmas special A Colbert Christmas, Nelson and Colbert did a David Bowie and Bing Crosby–style duet on an original track called “Little Dealer Boy.”

Nelson will be inducted into the Rock Hall this weekend alongside Kate Bush, Missy Elliott, Rage Against the Machine, Sheryl Crow, George Michael, and the Spinners. To go with his induction, he’ll release a new Greatest Hits album on November 3.
