Bad news for gamers eager for digital carnage: Grand Theft Auto VI has received yet another delay.Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, revealed in its quarterly earnings report that the highly anticipated game will now be released on November 19th, 2026. Take-Two CEO Strass Zelnick said in a statement, “We remain both excited and confident they will deliver an unrivalled blockbuster entertainment experience.”
In its own statement, Rockstar Games added, “We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.”
Rockstar first announced development on GTA VI in February 2022, and initially targeted a fall 2025 release. The game was later delayed to May 26th, 2026. GTA VI will notably feature Lucia, the franchise’s first playable female character.
