Explosions in the Sky Share “Moving On,” the Deceptively Non-Final Single from End: Stream

Explosions in the Sky have unveiled “Moving On,” the second single from their upcoming eighth album, End.

The new song fits its accompanying album’s deceivingly non-final title with a revitalizing composition that suggests plenty of new ground still to be explored by the Texas post-rock band. In a statement, the group shared a similar reassurance that “the end of a thing or a time can mean a stop, but it can also mean a beginning, and what happens after one thing ends might pale in comparison to what it becomes next.” Stream “Moving On” below.

Explosions in the Sky will pair their latest LP with a 26-date global trek, “The End Tour,” which kicks off with two home state shows in Texas in September. Tickets are available her.

“Moving On” follows the single “Ten Billion People,” which first introduced End in July. The album is due on September 15th via Temporary Residence Ltd. Pre-orders for specialty vinyl and cassette packages are ongoing.
