Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders, will write the new James Bond film, to be directed by Denis Villeneuve for Amazon MGM Studios.
In addition to his work on Peaky Blinders, Knight’s resume includes writing the screenplays for Eastern Promises, Spencer, and Maria.
There is currently no release date for the new Bond film, which will be the first under the Amazon MGM umbrella following the studio’s acquisition of the franchise from Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson last year. We also don’t yet know who will be playing 007, though Jacob Elordi (Saltburn), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), and Harris Dickinson (Babygirl) are some of the actors apparently being eyed for the role.
