Travis Kelce has landed his first major acting gig: a role in Ryan Murphy’s FX series, Grotesquerie.

The news was first reported by Deadline, revealing that the NFL star and Taylor Swift boyfriend has joined the cast for the upcoming series alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville. So far, Kelce’s role is unknown, and details around the show’s premise in general are scarce, but we know that it will be a “new horror drama series” premiering in the fall.

For Kelce, the role marks a move towards acting that some folks have been anticipating (especially since he signed with CAA last year). In March 2023, he hosted Saturday Night Live to general acclaim, displaying his natural charisma. Last fall, he appeared on Saturday Night Live again alongside Swift. He also recently landed a gig as host of Prime Video’s reboot of the quiz show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

Of course, all of this comes as Kelce is still a very busy athlete — Grotesquerie will likely premiere as he plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL season. Last month, he signed a two-year contract extension with the Chiefs.

Kelce also recently announced that the 2024 Kelce Jam will be take place at the Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, Kansas on May 18th, 2024, with headliners Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2 Chainz. Grab tickets here
