The search for the next James Bond director is underway, according to a new report from Matt Beloni of Puck News. For now, the idea of Christopher Nolan taking the reins of 007 remains a fantasy, as the acclaimed auteur is still tied up with the Odyssey and has no meeting scheduled with producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal.
But some pretty formidable names do, including Denis Villeneuve (Dune), Edward Berger (Conclave, All Quiet on the Western Front), Edgar Wright (Baby Driver, Scott Pilgrim), Paul King (Paddington, Wonka), and Jonathan Nolan (Westworld, Fallout). The hope, per Belloni, is “to set the director this summer, then get the script written, then cast the next Bond.”
